A few changes around here

For a few months now I’ve wanted to change the look of this site, but never seem to have the time to do it. So, in an effort to at least get the site partly doing what I want it to, I’ve started making some changes.

I’ll be tweaking some design elements over the next little while, but the biggest change is that I’m now importing posts I write at all my blogs (Lost Laowai, The Tech Dynasty, Dao By Design and Tip Trick Mod) into my stream here.

Scheduled Site Outage

Everytime my site goes down I get a panicked e-mail from my mom – so I’m letting you all (and her) know that the blog will be down on Saturday, Oct. 18 at about 6pm (GMT +8) for around 12 hours.

A few changes around here

Just a quick note to reference a few changes I’ve made to the site.

First: you’ll notice that I’ve changed the comment submit layout. When I initially designed the look of this site, I was eager to try some new things, and so had the comment submission form stuck at the top of the comments.

This was stupid – I realize this now. It just never fit with the flow of how people read I don’t think. Rare is the occasion that I read a blog and wish to comment without first checking out what others have said. Additionally,…

Hao Hao Report: New Look – New Features

The Hao Hao ReportAs many of you likely know, I run a couple other sites, one of them being The Hao Hao Report.

HHR is a social bookmarking site for all us sinophiles that just love reading blog posts and news about China. Essentially it works the same as other social bookmarking sites (digg, netscape, del.ico.us, etc.), whereby community members submit links for everyone to vote on. If a story gets enough votes it gets promoted to the front page.
